OLYMPIA – The Thurston County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing to accept public comment on the Grand Mound West UGA Expansion, Land Use Plan, and Rezone Amendment. How to Submit Public Comments

In-Person or Virtually: Those wishing to testify should appear in person or connect virtually and be heard. Testimony will be accepted at the Tuesday, October 29 hearing.

Background: The Grand Mound West UGA Expansion, Land Use Plan and Rezone Amendment is made up of two applicant-initiated amendments. The Black Lake Quarry applicant requests to rezone approximately 66 acres from Rural Residential Resource 1/5 (RRR 1/5) to Light Industrial (LI). The Wilmovsky applicant requests to rezone approximately 29 acres from Rural Residential Resource 1/5 (RRR 1/5) to Residential—Four to Sixteen Dwelling Units per Acre (R 4—16/1). Both locations request the UGA be expanded to include their properties.
