The Thurston County Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) will enact a summer recess from Monday, June 24, through Friday, July 12, 2024. No board briefings or regular meetings will occur during this time.

The BoCC approved the 2024 schedule in January. This is the second year they have taken a recess, and the board has found this break to be a successful way to streamline business during the busy summer months. 

“This upcoming recess allows us to coordinate Commissioners’ schedules during the summer,” said Board Chair, Tye Menser. “County business will continue, we just won’t be holding meetings with a quorum of the board.”
