All Thurston County offices and departments will briefly close on Thursday, August 24, at 1:00 p.m. for an evacuation emergency training drill. County employees will be asked to evacuate the buildings during the drill. The drills are expected to last 15 - 20 minutes. During the drill, visitors will be given an explanation of what is happening, and the choice to wait in gathering areas or asked to return when the drill is complete.
