Funding Available for Streamside Planting Projects

OLYMPIA – Thurston County is seeking qualified local projects designed to enhance streamside native vegetation along the middle and lower Deschutes River, McLane Creek, Upper Schneider Creek, and associated tributaries. Project funding is provided through a National Estuary Program (NEP) Riparian Restoration Grant through the Washington State Department of Ecology.

Organizations must submit a completed application to christina.chaput@co.thurston.wa.us by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 15, to apply for funding. Awarded projects must be completed by Friday, July 15, 2022.
