​OLYMPIA – Thurston County is seeking qualified local projects designed to enhance streamside native vegetation along the middle and lower Deschutes River, McLane Creek, Upper Schneider Creek, and associated tributaries. Project funding is provided through a National Estuary Program (NEP) Riparian Restoration Grant through the Washington State Department of Ecology.

If you are interested in applying for riparian restoration project funding, please visit https://thurstonwaterways.org. You can also visit ThurstonPlanning.org and navigate to Land Conservation Incentive Programs under the Adopted Plans & Programs dropdown menu.

Organizations must submit a completed application to christina.chaput@co.thurston.wa.us by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 15, to apply for funding. Awarded projects must be completed by Friday, July 15, 2022.
