Thurston County, Washington

The content on the Thurston County website is currently provided in English. We are providing the “Translation” for approximately 10 languages. The goal of the translation is to provide visitors with limited English proficiency to access information on the website in other languages. The translations do not translate all types of documents, and it may not give you an exact translation all the time. The translations are made through an automated process, which may not result in accurate or precise translations, particularly of technical and legal terminology.

A ballot will be mailed to all Thurston County voters residing in the participating jurisdictions.

Registration Deadlines:

  • Mon, April 17: Deadline to register or update current registration by online, mail or other remote means.
  • Tues, April 25: Deadline to register/change address in person at the Thurston County Elections Office or any open voting center in the state by 8:00 pm.

Voter Registration Forms: Available at all Thurston County Timberland Libraries, city/town halls, schools, fire stations, and licensing agencies.

Accessible Voting Assistance is available at the Thurston County Elections Office (drive-through services available), beginning April 5, M - F, 8 am - 4:30 pm and on Election Day, April 25, 8 am - 8 pm, or call to arrange an appointment.

Post-Election Random Audit: Thursday, April 27 at 9:00 am at the Ballot Processing Center. This test is open to the public and ensures the tabulation system is counting ballots accurately. Masks are required.

Post-Election Risk Limiting Audit: Tuesday, May 2 at 9:00 am at the Ballot Processing Center. This test is open to the public and demonstrates the accuracy of the election results. Masks are required.

Meetings to canvass ballots and finalize the election are open to the public. Meetings are held at the Thurston County Ballot Processing Center, Wednesday, May 3 at 12:30 pm and on Friday, May 5 at 1:30 pm. Masks are required. Contact our office for more information.
