There are more than 938 stormwater ponds in Thurston County owned by individuals, neighborhoods, and HOA's. Often, people don't know they have a stormwater pond that belongs to their neighborhood, or understand their responsibility for maintaining it. When properly maintained, stormwater ponds and other stormwater systems help prevent flooding and property damage while keeping local streams and drinking water sources clean.
Stormwater systems require routine maintenance to make sure they continue to perform the work they are designed to do. Regular maintenance of stormwater systems can prevent costly repairs in the future!
