Background
Updates to the Thurston County Wireless Communications code are necessary to comply with numerous Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules and other associated orders that affect siting of facilities, permitting processes, and local control.
This item was officially docketed by the Board of County Commissioners in 2014, and work has been on-going since. The review of the code includes a repeal and replace of the existing Wireless Communication Facilities and Antenna Support Structures (Thurston County Code 20.33), updates to Definitions (TCC 20.03), and updates to the Special Use chapter (TCC 20.54).
To request disability accommodations, call the Reasonable Accommodation Coordinator at least three days prior to the meeting at 360-786-5440. Persons with speech or hearing disabilities may call via Washington Relay: 711 or 800-833-6388.
