OLYMPIA –The Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 18, at 3 p.m. to receive public testimony on proposed amendments to development standards for Places of Worship in the Olympia Urban Growth Area. A video conference option will be available in addition to in-person attendance to ensure those wishing to provide testimony have every option available.

More information about the proposal
This proposal is a citizen-requested amendment and is listed as CR-5 on the 2020-2021 Official Development Code Docket. The proposed amendments would amend the Olympia Urban Growth Area Zoning code (Title 23) to expand where dormitories may occur within a Place of Worship, and include regulatory standards that would limit the size of dormitories associated with Places of Worship.
