OLYMPIA –The Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 1, at 3:30 pm to receive public testimony on a proposal to update the Olympia Joint Plan.

Background
The Growth Management Act requires counties and cities to adopt Joint Plans that guide development in the Urban Growth Areas. The Olympia Joint Plan last had a major update in 2004. The proposed amendments in this update include revised background information, updated goal and policy language, and one site-specific land-use and zoning amendment or, alternatively, a proposed code change to Title 23.
