Thurston County General Election – November 5, 2024

Notice of Pre-Election Tests

  • Accessibility Voting Unit Logic and Accuracy Testing: Ensures the accuracy of the Accessible Voting Units. Testing will begin September 23rd at 9:00 a.m. daily until finished.

  • Logic and Accuracy Test: Demonstrates the accuracy of the tabulation equipment. The Logic and Accuracy Test for this election will be held on September 30th at 9:00 a.m.

Notice of Post-Election Audits 

  • Random Audit: Ensures the scanners and tabulation system are counting ballots accurately. An audit of randomly selected precincts will be done November 7th at 9:00 a.m. (RCW 29A.60.170, 185)
  • Risk-Limiting Audit: Demonstrates the accuracy of the election results and will take place on November 19th at 9:00 a.m. (RCW 29A.60.185, WAC 434-261-116, WAC 434-261-117)

Notice of Canvassing Board Meetings & Agendas

The Canvassing Board will accept written public comment submitted up to 24 hours in advance of a regular meeting. Submitted comments will be promptly distributed to all Canvassing Board members and their designee if applicable. Please submit public comments to TCAuditor@co.thurston.wa.us

Meetings are:

  • November at 8th at 2:00 p.m. - They will canvass ballots for the November 5, 2024 General Election 

    • November 14th at 10:00 a.m. - They will canvass ballots for the November 5, 2024 General Election
    • November 21st at 4:00 p.m. - They will canvass ballots for the November 5, 2024 General Election
    • November 25th at 1:00 p.m. - They will canvass ballots for the November 5, 2024 General Election
    • November 26th at 1:00 p.m. - They will certify the November 5, 2024 General Election
