OLYMPIA – The Thurston County Planning Commission will hold two public hearings on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. or soon thereafter to receive public testimony on the Code Clarifications & Corrections Amendment, and an Open Space Application. How to Submit Public Comments
In-Person or Virtually: Those wishing to testify should appear in person or virtually and be heard. The Planning Commission will accept comment at the Wednesday, March 15th hearing.
Written Comments: You can submit written or emailed comments if you cannot attend. Please submit your comments no later than 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

Code Clarifications & Corrections Amendment:
The amendment is made up by Development Code Docket A-13, “Miscellaneous Clerical Errors”, A-28, “Clarification on Expansion of Non-Conforming Non-Residential Uses and Structures”, and A-29, “Update Sign Board Posting Procedures”. The proposed amendments include changes to standards for Academic Schools in the Special Use chapter, changes to standards for on-site noticing requirements on Type III applications, and correcting various clerical errors by correcting information and updating terms and names within various Thurston County Code (TCC).
Open Space Application:
The applicants at 1421 Maple Valley Rd. SW, Olympia, WA 98512 have submitted an Open Space Tax Program application for enrollment under the Farm and Agricultural Conservation Land category.
