OLYMPIA – Thurston County Public Health and Social Services (PHSS) is partnering with local organizations to host community COVID-19 vaccination clinics on Saturday for any member of the public age 16 and older needing a first or second dose of the Pfizer vaccine. Appointments are strongly encouraged to reduce wait times but are not required to receive a vaccine.

All minors 16 and 17 years old must receive parent or guardian consent to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. This can be done online by registering for an appointment or at the time of vaccination. Parents or guardians do not have to be present at the time of vaccination if they signed the consent form online during registration.

The first of two clinics Saturday is in partnership with New Life Baptist Church from 8am to 1pm at 7838 Pacific Ave, Lacey.

The second clinic Saturday is in partnership with Centro Integral Educativo Latino de Olympia (CIELO) and Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd from 3pm to 7pm at 1601 North Street SE, Tumwater. Spanish-language services will be available. No documents or government ID is required. People seeking additional information or needing assistance scheduling an appointment for this clinic can call CIELO at 360-968-0571.

PHSS is also hosting a drive-through clinic Sunday, May 9 at South Puget Sound Community College from 8am to 2pm. Pedestrians, bicycles, and motorcycles are also welcome. All mothers will receive flowers with their vaccination in honor of Mother’s Day.

Appointments take approximately 30 minutes from start to finish, which includes a 15-minute post-vaccine wait time.

People wishing to register for any of the clinics can do so on the PHSS vaccine webpage. Anyone needing assistance booking an appointment can call the PHSS vaccine helpline at 360-867-2610.
