OLYMPIA – Thurston County Public Works announces an extended road closure on Country Club Road NW from Country Club Loop NW to 40th Lane NW, starting July 22, 2024, and extending until September 30, 2025. The closure is necessary to remove an old culvert and construct a new bridge over Green Cove Creek. This project is designed to enhance fish passage, improve the health of the creek’s ecosystem, and improve road safety.
During the road closure, contractors will remove more than 20,000 cubic yards of material where the road is located and replace it with a bridge. Construction is scheduled Monday – Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. This range could change based on weather or other circumstances.
Reader boards and signage will be installed in advance along Country Club Road NW to notify the public of the closure. Residents and commuters are advised to plan additional travel time or seek alternative routes during construction.
For more information about the project, please visit the Public Works Projects webpage at: bit.ly/46NFFVq or call (360) 867-2300. We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation as we complete these necessary improvements.
