Thurston County Public Works Department is alerting the public about expected traffic delays on Mullen Road SE, between Early Spring Drive SE and Afflerbaugh Drive SE, starting March 11, 2024, and continuing until May 13, 2024. During this time, a contractor will perform sewer connection and road improvement work along Mullen Road SE.

The project will include the installation of offsite sewer connections, shoulder restoration, and a grind and overlay of the existing roadway. To accommodate the construction, traffic will be reduced to one lane in the affected area, with flagging staff on hand to direct vehicles.

Reader boards will be in place along Mullen Road SE to inform the public of the upcoming work and anticipated delays. Commuters are encouraged to allow extra travel time or consider alternate routes during this period.

For additional information regarding lane closures, please contact Becky Conn, Thurston County Public Works Traffic Engineering & Operations Manager, at becky.conn@co.thurston.wa.us or 360-867-2300.
