Upcoming Traffic Delays at the Intersection of Sleater-Kinney Rd NE & 15th Ave NE

OLYMPIA—Thurston County Public Works is alerting the public about expected traffic delays at the intersection of Sleater-Kinney Rd NE and 15th Ave NE starting Monday, July 15, 2024. During this time, the contractor will begin infrastructure work for a new signalized intersection, including underground utility work and widening the intersection to include accessibility ramps, turn lanes, and crosswalks.

The first phase of this project is expected to last 4-6 weeks. Construction is scheduled daily, Monday – Friday, from 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m.

Reader boards will be placed along Sleater-Kinney Rd NE and 15th Ave NE to inform the public of the upcoming work and anticipated delay. Flaggers will be in place to direct traffic during lane closures. Commuters are encouraged to allow extra travel time or consider alternative routes during construction.
