Volunteers Wanted to Help Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle

OLYMPIA – Are you passionate about reducing, re-using, recycling, and composting in our community? If you are, then we want you to join the Thurston County Master Recycler Composter volunteer program!  

The WSU Thurston County Extension and Thurston County Public Works are recruiting for the 2022 Master Recycler Composter (MRC) Volunteer Training program. Training focuses on a wide range of topics taught by regional experts, WSU Extension staff, and Thurston County staff who specialize in recycling and waste reduction. Classes are held in-person on Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., September 22 through November 10, with Saturday sessions on September 24, October 15, and October 29.  

The deadline to apply is Thursday, September 1, at 5 p.m. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, and either live, work, or operate a business in Thurston County.
