Volunteers Wanted to Help Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle
Are you passionate about recycling, waste reduction, and composting? Do you want to serve our Thurston County community as a volunteer? If yes, then we want you to join the Thurston County Master Recycler Composter volunteer program!
The WSU Thurston County Extension and Thurston County Public Works are recruiting for the 2024 Master Recycler Composter (MRC) Volunteer Training program. Training focuses on a wide range of topics taught by regional experts, WSU Extension staff, and Thurston County staff who specialize in recycling and waste reduction. Classes will be held in-person on Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., September 19 through November 14, with Saturday sessions on September 21, October 5, and November 2.
The deadline to apply is Sunday, September 1, at 5:00 p.m. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, and either live, work, or operate a business in Thurston County.
