Thurston County Office Closure Information for 2022
OLYMPIA – Thurston County government offices will be closed Friday, December 31, in observance of the New Year holiday. In addition, Thurston County offices are closed the following days in 2022 in observance of federal and state recognized holidays:

Public Hearing Set to Review Proposed 2022 Salaries for Elected Officials
OLYMPIA – On Monday, December 13, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. the Thurston County Citizens' Commission on Salaries for Elected Officials will hold a hearing to receive public testimony on the proposed 2022 salaries for Thurston County elected officials.

Sewage Spill Reaches Percival Creek
OLYMPIA – On Monday, December 27, a blockage in a sanitary sewer line on Somerset Drive SW caused an estimated 3,000 gallons of sewage to discharge into the City of Tumwater stormwater system, and then into Percival Creek. As a result of the spill, Public Health officials are asking the public (and their pets) to avoid contact with the water in Percival Creek, Capitol Lake, and inner Budd Inlet until 9 a.m. Thursday, December 30.

Thurston County Offices Closed December 27 Due to Inclement Weather
Thurston County offices are closed today (Monday, December 27) due to inclement weather. Superior Court offices at the Main Courthouse Campus, Family Juvenile Court (FJC), and Drug Court are also closed.

County Seeks Applications for 2022 Lodging Tax Funds
OLYMPIA – The Thurston County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) is accepting applications for qualified projects occurring in unincorporated Thurston County in 2022.

Board of Commissioners Approve Joint Resolution
OLYMPIA – On Tuesday, November 23, the Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) unanimously voted to approve a joint resolution with the Port of Olympia that states the two governing bodies will collaborate on efforts to draw new boundaries and expand the number of representatives in each body if Thurston County has at least 300,000 residents by May 2, 2022.
