The Thurston County Superior Court is inviting public comments on proposed revisions to its Local Court Rules, to be effective September 1, 2024. You may view or download a copy of the complete set of proposed revisions here. A summary of the substantive proposed revisions is available here.

Family and Juvenile Court

Thurston County Superior Court is accepting applications for the following separate Attorney lists:
1. Attorney for Parents in RCW 11.130 Minor Guardianship Custody Actions;
2. Attorney for Minors in RCW 11.130 Minor Guardianship Custody Actions; and/or
3. Attorney for Adults in RCW 11.130 Guardianship of Adult Actions.

Thurston County Superior Court Family and Juvenile Court (FJC) is seeking statements of qualifications to enable the selection of a group of individuals to serve as Guardians Ad Litem on the Title 26 RCW GAL Contract and as Court Visitors on Minor Guardianships under Title 11 RCW.

Covid-19 and Other Public Health Topics

Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, the Superior Court modified operations based on input from local public health.  The Court continues to receive regular updates from public health.  Based on current conditions, neither social distancing nor the wearing of facial coverings is required at our courthouses.   The Court encourages individuals to be aware of their circumstances and make individual decisions regarding protecting their health.  Remote participation continues to be available for many types of court proceedings and jury service deferrals may be requested based on individual or household health circumstances.
