Thurston County will declare a 4-day, 4-night Hazardous Weather Event. Cooling Centers open during extreme heat events.

A subcommittee of the Thurston County Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) held its first of four weekly meetings today and directed staff to explore additional options for space and facility needs that may differ from the current project plan of renovating the Thurston County Courthouse Campus.

Thurston County Public Works announces a change in the temporary road closure dates on Waddell Creek Rd SW from 90th Ln SW to 86th Ln SW. The new closure period began on June 14, 2024, and continues until July 26, 2024. This closure is necessary to facilitate the replacement of three culverts beneath the roadway.

County Responds to State Auditor’s Office Finding. The county does not agree with the outcome of the audit but will follow recommendations.

The Thurston County Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) will enact a summer recess from Monday, June 24, through Friday, July 12, 2024. No board briefings or regular meetings will occur during this time.

Thurston County Public Works announces a temporary closure of the Black Lake-Belmore Road Bridge for significant repairs, starting on June 17, 2024, and continuing until mid-October 2024. This closure is necessary to address potential safety concerns and maintenance issues with the roadway on both sides of the bridge.
