OLYMPIA – Thurston County residents and shoreline stakeholders are invited to attend and provide comment at a Shoreline Master Program (SMP) Planning Commission Public Hearing on Wednesday, October 20th, 2021 at 7pm.

Thurston County will officially celebrate the completion of the 2-year, multijurisdictional Mullen Road Project with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Details about the project can be found on the project web page.

OLYMPIA – Thurston County Public Health and Social Services is reporting a toxic algae bloom at Deep Lake. The state advisory level for Anatoxin, a neurotoxin, is 1.0 ug/L and the lab results show toxin levels of Anatoxin at the sample site at Deep Lake is 1.4 ug/L.

​OLYMPIA – The Thurston County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, October 6, at 7 p.m. to accept public comment on the Up Castle Land Use and Rezone Amendment, a citizen-requested amendment to the Thurston County Comprehensive Plan.

​OLYMPIA – Thurston County government’s plan to locally manage three federally-protected subspecies of Mazama pocket gophers, and other federally-protected species, is one step closer to being finalized. 

​OLYMPIA - The Thurston County Building Development Center (BDC) will close at 3 p.m. on Thursday, September 23. The BDC will return to regular hours, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Friday, September 24.
