The Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing Monday, December 6, at 6 p.m. to receive public testimony on the 2022-2027 Thurston County Capital Improvement Program (CIP). The CIP is updated annually to provide information on planned capital facilities projects for the next six years.

Board of Commissioners to Hold Public Hearing on Sales Tax Increase to Fund Affordable Housing Activities
OLYMPIA – The Thurston County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing to receive public testimony on Tuesday, November 23, at 3:00pm regarding a proposed one-tenth of one percent sales tax increase for all Thurston County residents, except for City of Olympia residents, as allowed under House Bill 1590 to support affordable housing activities.

Toxic Algae Health Advisory in Effect for Black Lake
OLYMPIA – Thurston County Public Health and Social Services is reporting a toxic algae bloom at Black Lake. The state advisory level for microcystins are 8.0 ug/L and the lab results show toxin levels of microcystins at the sample site at Black Lake are 33 ug/L.
