OLYMPIA – Thurston County Public Health and Social Services (PHSS) is temporarily moving the large-scale drive through vaccination clinics scheduled for May 12-16 from South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) to the Thurston County Fairgrounds, 3054 Carpenter Rd., Lacey.

Thurston County Public Health and Social Services To Host Community-COVID-19 Vaccination Events Saturday and Sunday
OLYMPIA – Thurston County Public Health and Social Services (PHSS) is partnering with local organizations to host community COVID-19 vaccination clinics on Saturday for any member of the public age 16 and older needing a first or second dose of the Pfizer vaccine. Appointments are strongly encouraged to reduce wait times but are not required to receive a vaccine.

Thurston County, City of Tumwater Planning Commissions to Hold Public Hearing on Tumwater Joint Plan Update
OLYMPIA –The Thurston County and City of Tumwater Planning Commissions will hold a virtual public hearing on Thursday, May 20, at 7:00 p.m. to receive public testimony on a proposal to update the Tumwater Joint Plan. The Thurston County Planning Commission will provide a link to attend the meeting a week before the public hearing on the Planning Commission Meeting Materials webpage. The link will be included in the meeting agenda.

Thurston County Public Health and Social Services Has More Than 800 COVID-19 Vaccine Doses Set to Expire
OLYMPIA – Thurston County Public Health and Social Services (PHSS) has more than 800 doses of Pfizer vaccine that are set to expire in the next week. PHSS is hosting three clinics this week for any member of the public age 16 and older needing a first or second dose of the Pfizer vaccine. Appointments are optional and not required to receive a vaccine.

Thurston County Ranks 8th Healthiest in State
OLYMPIA – Thurston County ranks 8th healthiest among Washington State's thirty-nine counties, according to County Health Rankings data released last week. The county moved up from a rank of 9th from 2020.
