Upcoming Road Closure for Culvert Replacement on Kellogg Dr NE
Thurston County Public Works is notifying residents and commuters of a road closure on Kellogg Dr NE from 72nd Ave NE to 7203 Kellogg Dr NE starting September 25 through October 23, 2024, to replace a failing culvert. Traffic will be rerouted via 76th Ave NE and Kerbaugh Rd NE. We advise motorists to plan accordingly and allow for extra travel time.

Thurston County and Cities Receive $2 Million in State Grants for Home Electrification Incentives
Thurston County and the cities of Lacey, Olympia, Tumwater, and Tenino each received a grant from the WA State Department of Commerce’s Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) program to support subsidized installations of high efficiency electric equipment for low- and moderate-income (LMI) households. The grants, totaling $2,003,850 in funding from Washington’s Climate Commitment Act, will be used for a countywide outreach and incentive campaign to promote home electrification in 2025.
