An Olympia man was sentenced to four years in prison following a jury trial in April for killing a family's young dog in October 2023.

The Thurston County Auditor’s Elections Division mailed over 9,000 Primary Election ballots to military and overseas voters registered in Thurston County.

The Thurston County Auditor’s Elections Division will conduct Logic & Accuracy tests ahead of the August 6, 2024 Primary Election. These tests demonstrate the accuracy of the accessible voting units and tabulation equipment. The Elections Division is looking for volunteers to serve as observers for the Logic & Accuracy tests.

Due to a statewide license plate shortage, the Thurston County Auditor’s Office and eight licensing subagents will issue passenger vehicle licensing customers temporary permits.
