The Thurston County Auditor's Financial Services Team received their 17th consecutive Annual Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. Thurston County was recognized by the Government Financial Officers Association (GFOA) for their exceptional financial reporting practices.

The Thurston County Auditor’s Elections Division mailed over 8,934 Special Election ballots to military and overseas voters registered in Thurston County. Ballot envelopes must be signed and dated by Election Day or received via email or fax by 8 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on Election Night, February 13, 2024.

In 2023, the Thurston County Auditor’s Office updated almost 34,000 voter records for nearly 200,000 registered voters.

The Thurston County Auditor’s Office will conduct Logic & Accuracy tests ahead of the February 13, 2024, Special Election. These tests demonstrate the accuracy of the accessible voting units and tabulation equipment. The Auditor’s Office Elections Division is looking for volunteers to serve as observers for the Logic & Accuracy tests.
